780   Antique Silver - Miscellaneous Group of 4 Pieces. An interesting group of 4 as follows:

a. Russian baptismal cup with engraved scene of a building and some script.
b. Russian child's spoon with fine filigree workmanship.

781   Antique Silver Spoons. Collection of Eleven Souvenir Spoons. Eleven American-made Silver Souvenir Spoons, three with intricate enameled illustrations, honoring a number of American capitols, and a variety of National State Parks. Many are unusual examples desirable to collectors, including a souvenir spoon from Washington DC with a handle shaped like a frontier rifle, an souvenir spoon from the "San Francisco" Worlds Fair, and a souvenir from California, dated 1901, in the shape of a mining pan. Superb.

782   Cameos. Lot of Two Porcelain Cameos. Each approximately One Inch, Oval, mounted as brooches. Of classical subjects with garlanded headpieces. Made in Czechoslovakia. Fine.

783   Oriental Brush Holders. A group of three different wooden antique brush holders. Each is cylindrical in shape and hand made. One of bamboo has inscription in 4 vertical panels with an artist's mark; the other two, both appear to be unsigned, from different woods, one with a village scene and the other with a bird perched on a tree with colored flowers and leaves. Sizes 9½ to 12½". An interesting offering.

784   Pipe - Burgenmeister, c. mid-1800s (Two). A pair. Featuring robust, reddish-brown, meerschaum bowls complete with metal wind guards. The pipes measure 20" and 15" respectively, with long, flexible, wooden stems and delicate wooden mouth pieces. Very Good. The smaller of the two pipes still possesses the original ribbon used to hang it from the arm of a chair.

785   Pipe - German Porcelain Bowl & Antler, c.1900. The 11" pipe features a split stem comprised of cherry-wood and antler. The bowl, with metal wind guard, has a quaint hand-painted scene of a pair of bashful young lovers in the act of courting. Fine.

786   Pipe - German Porcelain Bowl & Cherry-wood, c.1900. This charming piece is roughly 17" and features a stem of cherry-wood and flexible, woven tubing. The hand-painted bowl is decorated with a relief scene of love-birds and flowers delicately accented with gold-leafing. Very Good.

787   Pipe - German Porcelain Bowl, c.1900. Featuring two bowls, one hand-painted, the other possibly decaled . It has a 7½" cherry-wood stem and two, small, animal hair tassels attached to the mouth piece.

788   Pipe - German Porcelain Bowl, c.1900. A hand-painted scene of a man giving a woman flowers highlights this 5½" bowl with an engraved metal wind guard. Very Good.

789   Pipe - German Porcelain Bowl, with Bone, c.1900. This majestic smoking apparatus measures approximately 27" long and is most likely of Bavarian origin. It has a stem of wood and bone with tassels, a "bayonet" tip at the bottom and a hand-painted bowl. Very Good.

790   Pipe - Meerschaum "Mother Goose", c.1900's. Evidently designed as a woman's pipe (4" long) this dainty smoking apparatus is intricately carved to resemble the fabled children's story teller. The pipe is an egg shell color with dark regions around the bowl and "Mother Goose's" bonnet. The original amber stem has been repaired. Good.

791   Pipe - Meerschaum, c.1900's. A delicate woman's pipe with a pair of carved horses. 4 inches long. A rich reddish-brown tone. Very Good.

792   Pipe - Meerschaum, with Case, c.1900. A beautifully carved Norse head with a strong ivory finish and a detachable stem comprised of ornate metal work and marble. Still with its original case. Very Good.

793   Pipe - Meerschaum, with Case, c.1900's. This pipe features a simple carving of a horse jumping a felled tree. A weathered, golden-brown tone permeates throughout the bowl. The bottom of the pipe, the rim of the bowl and portions of the horse exhibit patches of off-white. Six inches long. Very Good. Includes original velvet lined leather case and original amber stem.

794   Pipe - Persian 19th Century Inlaid. Wooden stem inlaid with turquoise beads and silver finials, with inlaid ceramic bowl. Length 15¼".

795   Vintage Pen. Waterman c. 1940s. Black with 18ct. gold nib and bands. Length: 5 1/4". Made in France. Very Good.

796   Vintage Pen & Pencil. The "Conway Stewart" Writing Set c.1930s. London, England. Beautiful green laquer finish with gold accents. Pen: 4 3/4", nib inscribed "Conway Stewart 14ct. gold 4", initialed "CS" on two clips. Pen body is also etched "Conway Stewart-- Made in England 84".
Pencil: 4 1/2", etched "Conway No. 26 Conway Stewart London", initialed "CS" on clip. Set comes complete with Conway Stewart Guarantee, instructions for pen & pencil and original "woven" box (white with green and gold accents). Box is moderately worn in spots. Very Good.

Inlay of box is inscribed, "To Nigel / With love. / From Great Granny Wills".

   

797   Vintage Swan Pen. "Leverless Pen" Pat No. 390585. Made in England. Nib inscribed "Swan- 6- 14ct- Mabie, Todd & Co."
Black "cigar" shape with gold bands and inscribed swan figure on clip. Very Good.
