1803 $5 Capped Bust. 3 over 2. Breen-1D, Rarity 2. Sharpness of EF-45 but cleaned and repaired. There was a small dig in the left obverse field which appears to have been smoothed out, and there are two reverse scratches through the shield and branch which may have been smoothed a bit. Now the fields and devices show moderate hairlines from cleaning. Nevertheless, this is a well struck coin that boasts nearly complete detail on the upper devices. Minor adjustment marks are visible on the upper rim of the obverse. Impressive for the type and the problems are actually pretty minor when compared with others we've seen.
