Danubian Region, c. 3rd
century BC. AR Tetradrachm (14.4 g). Imitating tetradracm of Philip II of
Macedon. Laureate head of Zeus right. Reverse: Jockey holding palm, on
walking horse right, cornucopia symbol below. Cf. Dewing 58. Lightly toned and
of quite accomplished style. Trivial striking weakness, still a particularly
attractive imitation. Very Fine.
