Lot 320 Click on Picture to Enlarge
Fr. 16 $2 1862 Legal Tender Note, Almost Uncirculated. Incredible colors on this, our first One Dollar Note. While technically Uncirculated in every way, we have located a small tear in the top margin that barely affects the design. Also a small piece of paper is missing from the very top right corner. Thus we have down graded this note to Almost Uncirculated. Acquired by the consignor as Uncirculated.
Estimated Value $600-800.

Fr. 224 $1 1896 Silver Certificate, "Educational Note", Choice Almost Uncirculated. Super deep and bright colors are on this note which is just fantastic. Estimated Value $600-1,100.

Lot 339
Fr. 233 $1 1899 Silver Certificate, "Black Eagle", Extra Fine. A beautiful note that has "washboard" paper wave from having being wet while the folds were pressed out. We see notes from this type of "enhancement" coming mainly from the East Coast. Acquired by the consignor as Uncirculated.
