Newcomb-3, Rarity-2. NGC graded MS-64 Red and Brown. A highlight of
the large cents of 1832, this is the wide date variety and its a nice one.
Smooth surfaces that show only a couple of trivial signs of handling and no
spots or other detriments. We note some unimportant ticks on Liberty's face,
being the high point, that usually attracts any contact that happens.

Newcomb-3, Rarity-1. PCGS graded MS-64 Brown, and Del Bland graded
MS-60. Just slightly better but there is a dark area between stars four and
five and a small darkish spot touching star seven. Lovely, lustrous golden
brown surfaces with some faint light steel blue overtones. Defect free and well
struck.

very lightly burnished on Liberty, between the date and star one is some light
carbon and at stars five and seven is microscopic evidence of raised dark red
corrosion. Darkish steel brown. This cent is much nicer in appearance than the
description indicates.

light reddish overtones on much of the obverse and reverse and a carbon spot
between the tops of M and E in AMERICA. On the obverse are a couple minute
nicks, so small they are invisible to the unaided eye. Double outlines on stars
eight to thirteen.

MS-61. Double profile. Mint State 61 with blunt striking on the top front
line of the coronet and a thin, line-like planchet defect through the dentils
over star eleven. Beautiful golden tan surfaces, slightly darker on area of
both sides and a few truly microscopic abrasions on the obverse. Double profile
on forehead, end of nose, lips and chin.
