Lot 1032
Love Token. No date.
Quarter eagle, "KAM". The obverse was smoothed and reengraved with multiple
encircling designs with KAM in fine script at the centers. Mounted on the
reverse with remnants of solder on either side where a pin mount was removed.
Slightly bent, and the edge has a few minor rough spots. Gold love tokens are
seldom found, most people could only afford silver coins on which to work, so
this is one of the "fancier" gold pieces used.
Estimated Value $100-125.
Lot 1033
Love Token. No date. Half
dime, DPS on one side, "Jennie" on the other. Both sides have fine
engraving and there is a single hole at the top of the coin. An impressive
double sided token for the numismatist.
Estimated Value $20-25.
Lot 1034

Love Token. 1787 Fugio
cent, "JIM" in fancy script. An extraordinary love token, first because it
is on a colonial coin, and second because it is well preserved. As we know,
most of these love tokens were done on coins about a century after this piece
was likely removed from circulation. The obverse has been reengraved with the
fancy script lettering "JIM" in descending letters, with long loopy tails. A
prize for the advanced love token numismatist, or for a special "JIM" out
there.
Estimated Value $300-UP.
Lot 1035
Love Token. 1853 Quarter
eagle, "BHI". Typical jewelry surfaces on the obverse, with a bit of solder
at the top from a removed mount. The initials are fancy, but there is no
border.
Estimated Value $100-125.
Lot 1036
Love Token. 1853 Half
dime. "Melisa". There is some solder on the obverse over Liberty, the
reverse is nicely engraved with a pretty wreath design of leaves encircling. A
central rectangle enclosed "Melisa" in fine script.
Estimated Value $15-20.
Lot 1037
Love Token. 1854 Quarter
eagle, "Lon". With excellent workmanship on the border surrounding a nice
script "Lon". The obverse has solder on both sides and there are some scratches
where a pin or some similar mount was removed. Gold love tokens are scarce, and
always find high demand.
Estimated Value $125-150.
Lot 1038
Love Token. 1854 Seated
Quarter, "MAO" with a wonderful mounting pin. Make sure to take a moment to
view the unique pin on the back of this love token. The original pin must have
been lost, and a short brass nail was carefully twisted to into place to hold
the hinge together. It works fine today. The host quarter is a with arrows
type. No hole. Fancy script border around cursive letters.
Estimated Value
$50-75.
Lot 1039
Love Token. 1857 One
Dollar gold, "DET", or if you'd rather "TED". Depending on your
perspective, either "DET" or "TED" will work, engraved in fine script letters,
surrounded by a simple border. The date appears to be 1857, but it could be
later, the third digit has been partially scraped off where this coin was
centrally mounted, there is also a small hole at the top.
Estimated Value
$70-90.

Estimated Value $30-40.
Lot 1045
Love Token. 1877 Seated

Estimated Value $20-25.
Lot 1049
Love Token. 1884 Nickel,
S.F.C. There is a small hole at the top of the coin. A rare date in the

initials.
Estimated Value $15-20.
Lot 1050
Love Token. 1890 Seated
dime, "Berto". With a small hole through Liberty's head, the reverse has

letters. A simple, and no doubt very important piece to someone.
Estimated
Value $15-20.
Lot 1051
Love Token. 1891 Seated
