Washington Head Quarters

Lot 675
1932, 1934, 1935, 1936, 1937 and 1937-D. These grade MS-63 or better. Mostly fresh white luster, some with a bit of haze. Lot of 6 coins.
Estimated Value $125-150.

Lot 676
1932-D, 1932-S and 1936-S. These grade AU-58. We note the 1932 D and S both show some hairlines, probably from a cleaning in the past. All would fit well into a mint state album collection. Lot of 3 coins.
Estimated Value $400-500.

Lot 677
1932-D. EF-45. Light circulated, and needed by most collectors.
Estimated Value $100-125.

Lot 678
1932-S. Accugrade graded MS-63. Light mottled gold in color and with lots of frosty luster. FEB on the insert means Full Eagle's Beak we're told by the consignor. One of the key dates to the Washington quarter series.
Estimated Value $700-800.

Lot 679
1932-S. MS-60 Plus. Nicely toned and presentable, but there is a long scratch from the eagle's neck out his left wing, which is hard to see, but present. Scarce.
Estimated Value $300-400.

Lot 680
Washington Quarter group. The following are included, 1932-S ANACS graded AU-50, deeply toned; 1934 Double Die Obverse 1 and Double Die Reverse 1, ANACS graded VG-10 and 1950-S/S PCI graded EF-45. The 1932-S may be artificially retoned, the 1934 has minor green verdigris on the reverse and the 1950 S/S is not the same variety as noted under Breen-4350, but the S shows very slight recutting. Lot of 3 coins.
Estimated Value $100-UP.

Lot 681
1932-S. ANACS graded AU-50.
Estimated Value $80-100.

Lot 682
1934-D and 1935-D. Both grade MS-60 to MS-63. Frosty and white. Lot of 2 coins.
Estimated Value $300-350.

Lot 683
1935-S. MS-65. A true gem with excellent color and surfaces, virtually as struck with full luster and undiminished by bagmarks or other detriments.
Estimated Value $200-250.

1936-D. PCGS graded MS-65. Normally on a gem coin we see a few ticks and handling marks. This one is really a cut above, as the devices and fields are exceptional for the grade. Hazy toning over fresh mint luster, and plucked from an old date set just before the sale and submitted to PCGS for their opinion.
Estimated Value $500-700.

Lot 685
1937-S. MS-64. Strong luster and a decent strike.
Estimated Value $100-150.

Lot 686
1938 and 1938-S. Both grade MS-63. Lot of 2 coins.
Estimated Value $120-150.

Lot 687
1939 PDS and 1940 PDS. These are mostly MS-63. Most are bright and flashy, and untoned. Lot of 6 coins.
Estimated Value $200-250.

Lot 688
1939-D. PCGS graded MS-66. Toned with several different colors on the obverse, including red, blue and gold. The reverse shows light gold, mostly around the lower portion. Clean surfaces and perfect for the date collector who demands a high end toned coin.
Estimated Value $125-150.

Lot 689
Washington Quarter partial set 1941 to 1961-D. A nice set that grades MS-60 or better and is mounted in a Library of Coins album. Mostly untoned, but a few are golden. Lot of 63 coins.
Estimated Value $300-350.

Lot 690
Washington Quarter Silver Set, 1932 to 1964-D complete. The set grades AU to BU, with most grading BU. This set is from Superior Galleries Jerry Buss Sale, January 1985 and is mounted in two large black Capital Plastics holders. The 1932-D has been harshly cleaned. Lot of 83 coins plus an extra one to show the reverse.
Estimated Value $1,000-1,200.
