Merrill Lynch, Pierce Fenner & Smith Gold Bar, 10 ounces. This 10 ounce bar is stamped 999.9 fine and has the familiar "bull" symbol used by that brokerage firm. Nice surfaces, and this cataloguer doesn't recall seeing this type of bar before. Probably from the late 1970s when gold became a hot investment item. In a small black cardboard box of issue.

N.M. Rothschild & Sons gold ingot. This ingot weighs 58.2 grains and is 996 fine. It is a curious square shape and the stamps are all quite clear on the top.

Englehard gold ingot. This ingot weighs 1.608 ounces and is 999.9 fine, it is the shape of a loaf of bread. Stamped number 3680 above the name.

1946 Phildelphia Mint silver bar, 8.80 ounces. A nice bar, stamped on the back 1946, 999. fine, bar number 151, 8.80 ounces. On one edge is stamped 10. The Phildelphia Mint stamp is nice, but somewhat crudely executed, when compared with current coinage of that year.

1956 Silver San Francisco Mint Bar, 22.23 ounces. A Swiss Cheese style bar with a few holes at the centers as cast at the San Francisco Mint. Dated 1956 in their seal at the top, the bar is 999.75 fine and is stamped 249 on the side. 22.23 ounces of good 'ole American silver. A great paper weight or doorstop, and not all that valuable, but highly collectible.

A San Francisco Mint silver bar, 5.89 Ounces. 999.5 fine silver, and nice surfaces and stamps from the Mint. Popular and seldom seen these days.

An Eagle Mining Silver Bar, $6.48 value, 5.03 ounces and stamped bar #377. The bar is pretty much as made, nice color and surfaces. Popular with collectors of Western mining memories.

Three miscellaneous silver bars. This group includes 6.6 Taels (7.7 g) 900 fine bar from the Irrawaddy Counting House at Rangoon; a 10 ounce .999 fine Imperial R & S Works bar and last a 50 grammes 999 fine bar from Dena Bank, Bombay, India. An interesting group of silver bars for the collector.
