1849. Open wreath No "L" on neck. PCGS graded MS-65. A sparkling gem that boasts ample luster in the fields and the now familiar copper gold color attesting to its gem status. Fully struck by the dies, with all details sharp. This one is in an old PCGS holder with the green insert tag.

1849. Open wreath. SEGS graded MS-64. No L. A frosty bright specimen that has good color and a sharp strike on the devices.

1849. Closed wreath and 1853. Both grade AU-58 to MS-60 +. The 1853 has a scratch on the obverse. Lot of 2 coins.

1849. Closed wreath, heavy date. EF-40. A few light lines from handling or circulation, nevertheless, this one retains some luster and has a nice appearance.

1851. NGC graded MS-66. One of the finest graded by NGC where we note just 10 have been seen this high with 2 graded higher. Blazing luster in the fields and well struck from lapped dies. The surfaces show minor ticks which can hardly be seen even with a strong glass.

1854. PCGS graded MS-65. A brilliant, blazing gem of this relatively common date. Full luster in the fields, and free of all but tiny signs of contact. Boldly impressed and well preserved. One for the gem collector.

1854-S. PCGS graded MS-64. A bright, fresh coin that boasts blazing luster and only the faintest signs of handling. One hidden tick on Liberty's cheek, and this one is boldly struck from lightly clashed dies. The March 2001 PCGS Population Report shows only 9 graded this high, with a scant 2 graded higher.
