Lot 1707 Click on photo for enlarged version Click on photo for enlarged version
1915-S Panama-Pacific Dollar. PCGS graded MS-66. One of the nicest of these we've seen, it came in the original envelope from the Exposition and went straight to PCGS. Note the delicate copper specks on both sides, and creamy luster in the fields. PCGS has graded 380 this high, with just 37 graded higher (all MS-67).
Estimated Value $3,000-3,500.

Lot 1708
1915-S Panama-Pacific Dollar. PCGS graded MS-62. Minor surface marks on the cap, but very lustrous elsewhere.
Estimated Value $250-300.

Lot 1709
1915-S Panama-Pacific Dollar. MS-60+. Mint fresh luster and well struck.
Estimated Value $250-300.

Lot 1710
1915-S Panama-Pacific Dollar. MS-60. A few hairlines on the cap of the digger on the obverse, otherwise mint fresh.
Estimated Value $250-300.

Lot 1711
1915-S Panama-Pacific Dollar. Sharpness of AU-50. Lightly polished and a couple of scattered marks are present on the lower reverse. A beautiful commemorative gold coin for its intriguing design motifs.
Estimated Value $150-200.

1915-S Panama-Pacific $2.50. PCGS graded MS-65. Near perfect surfaces throughout, with mint-fresh luster and bold devices. Note the swirl lines in the fields from the original die polishing. These are present on all specimens seen, and are the result of the San Francisco Mint's die preparation process. One of the most beautiful designs employed in the entire commemorative series.
Estimated Value $3,500-4,000.

1915-S Panama-Pacific $2.50. PCGS graded MS-64. Satiny luster in the fields and untoned by time. A few minor handling marks on the high points, and Liberty's face is not as finely detailed as usual. One of the most popular commemorative coins for its superb design motifs and the importance of the Panama Canal.
Estimated Value $3,000-3,500.

Lot 1714 Click on photo for enlarged version Click on photo for enlarged version
1915-S Panama-Pacific $2.50. PCGS graded MS-63. A few minor handling marks from a higher grade, but nice luster and color.
Estimated Value $1,900-2,200.

1926 Sesquicentennial $2.50. PCGS graded MS-64. Bright and lustrous, with well struck devices and a hint of delicate copper toning. Nearly a gem! Check it out.
Estimated Value $650-750.

Lot 1716
1926 Sesquicentennial $2.50. PCGS graded MS-64. Clean surfaces and good luster on this example. Most of the ticks are on Liberty, as usual.
Estimated Value $650-750.

Lot 1717
1926 Sesquicentennial $2.50. PCGS graded MS-64. This coin is far better than the "average" MS-64 in our opinion. Liberty is usually a bagmark magnet, but not so here, she is clean and undisturbed when compared with other coins of this grade. Further, the strike is nice and complete, and the luster unbroken. Let's see how this one does when it crosses the block.
Estimated Value $650-750.

Lot 1718
1926 Sesquicentennial $2.50. NGC graded MS-64. These are always struck in shallow relief, similar to the Peace dollars of the era. Flashy gold luster and clean fields and devices.
Estimated Value $650-750.

Lot 1719
1926 Sesquicentennial $2.50. MS-63. A few scattered ticks as nearly always seen on this issue. Flashy luster.
Estimated Value $350-400.
