1937 Roanoke Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-67. Tab toning with a dot from the paper holder at the center of the obverse, and the periphery toned with hazy gold, while the exposed surfaces from the holder are iridescent blue. Near perfect surfaces beneath the toning.

1936-D San Diego Half Dollar. NGC graded MS-67. Gorgeous surfaces and lightly toned with deep gold and reddish hues on either side. Well struck, and downright hard to find this nice. Excellent, and clean surfaces, keeping this in the superb category.

1926 Sesquicentennial Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-64. Toned with mottled deep gold on the obverse, with a large splash on the upper left side, and similar on the reverse, but with the toning spread more around the periphery in flecks. Strong luster on this rather shallow relief coin.

1935 Old Spanish Trail Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-65. A frosty white gem that boasts dazzling surfaces and virtually no contact marks. Scarce in gem, and worth a good bid.

1938 Texas Half Dollar. NGC graded MS-67. Check out the toning on the Texas gem! Wonderful and colorful shades of deep green and reddish gold on the obverse, with a small area of the reverse similar, on the left side. Good luster beneath, and this coin will certainly appeal to the artist side of most collectors. An outstanding example of the beauty of toning and how it can enhance the design elements.

1938 PDS Texas Half Dollar Set. Each coin is NGC graded as follows: P Mint is MS-65, D Mint is MS-66 and the S Mint is MS-65. Each of these well matched coins has silvery luster with light speckled toning and were probably stored together for decades in the original issue papers. Lot of 3 coins.

1938-S Texas Half Dollar. NGC graded MS-67. Iridescent hues of colored tones dance about the obverse, while the reverse has a distinctive golden area on the left rim. Superb surfaces, and highly appealing.

Boldly struck and the toning is probably from an original paper holder as issued, which greatly adds to the appeal. Observe this one under a strong light to bring out the array of colors.
