Lycian Dynasts. Teththiveibi, 450-420 BC. AR Stater (8.5 g). Round buckler with blazon of winged lion right. Reverse: Tetraskles within incuse square, name around. SNG von Aulock 4157. Nicely centered for one of these, with shield almost complete. Light brownish toning. Very Fine.

Lycian Dynasts. Mithrapata, 380-375 BC. AR Stater (9.5 g). Top view of lion's scalp. Reverse: Triskeles within incuse square, inscription around. SNG von Aulock 4240. Unusually well centered on full flan. Some porosity and horn silver on reverse. Attractive old toning. Very Fine.

Cilicia. Nagidos, c. 380-360 BC. AR Stater (10.6 g). Aphrodite seated left, holding phiale over lit altar, Eros behind holding up wreath. Reverse: Dionysos stands left, holding thyrsos and grape cluster. BMC Cilicia p. 111, 12; SNG BibNat. 21. The obverse a delightful genre scene; well struck, but still showing some flatness, and the usual die rust. Perfectly centered for these issues. Extremely Fine/Choice Very fine.

Cilicia. Tarsos, 386-380 BC. AR Obol (0.4 g). Head of youth with curly locks right. Reverse: Kneeling maiden left, semidraped, casting astragaloi. SNG Switzerland I, 65; Babelon II, 1377, pl. 137, 5. Nicely centered on usual tight flan. With residual luster. Deeply toned, on remarkably good metal. A particularly fine example of this scarce and popular type. Extremely Fine.

Cilicia. Tarsos, Datames, 378-372 BC. AR Stater (10.8 g). Frontal head of female, turned slightly to the left (Arethusa?). Reverse: Helmeted head of bearded male right (Ares?). The obverse a little off center, as typical, but strikes sharp and full, and on good metal. Deeply toned, with some residual luster. Choice Very Fine / Extremely Fine. Quite pleasing, with hardly any of the problems seen on the market examples of recent date.

Reverse:Athena standing left, holding Nike, spear and shield in other hand; monograms at left. SMA 298; BMC p.71, 3; SNG Cop. --; Houghton --. Pleasant portrait. Devices a little off center. Some uneven spots in the toning. About Extremely Fine.
