1906. Proof 64. This one has been cleaned and some ding-a-ling left part of the cleaning substance all over the obverse. Perhaps someone more talented in such matters can remove the reddish colored soap or jewelers rouge from this coin? A rare proof that is totally reflective and well preserved, aside from the offending residue.
Estimated Value $5,000-5,500.

Lot 2055
1906. MS-60+. Fresh luster and good color, with a couple of copper spots.
Estimated Value $250-300.

Simply stated, if you want one of the very best proof quarter eagles, of any date, then be sure to bid accordingly. A stunning, magnificent example of this final year of issue of the Coronet type that is worthy of the finest cabinet.
