Gorham Sterling Teapot. Height: 10". Monogrammed 19th century teapot with two ivory decorative accents to handle. Bottom stamped with Gorham mark and "STERLING / A2111 / 3¼ PINT". Minor finish wear, a few small dings around the belly, the handle needs to be tightened, otherwise nice luster, very attractive shape and decoration. Very good condition.

Floral and foliate chased and repoussé decorations accent the somewhat Rococo lines of our offering -- we spot three types of flowers, acanthus and several other leaves. Elegant scrolled feet and an ornate finial complete this wonderful vestige of more formal times.
Estimated Value $350-450.

Silver Serving Tray with Crystal Decanter and Tumblers. Lovely heavy-plate serving tray with ice bucket, two decanters and six tumblers. Probably late 19th century (1870-1890s) tray and glassware, although two of the tumblers are of more recent vintage. All six tumblers are a hobnail star and fan pattern. The tray has been repeatedly polished but the foliate/floral pattern accented with birds and butterflies remains sharp. The tray's mark, "RMJ & Co. S", has not been identified. There is some wear, most notably on the silver lid of the ice bucket, but all of the pieces are still lustrous and remarkably fine.

The quality, design and detail of the glass and silverplate create a set with charm and elegance one is hard-pressed to find in more modern groupings.
Estimated Value $300-400.
