Lot 1565 Click on photo for enlarged version Click on photo for enlarged version
1934-S. PCGS graded MS-65. This is one of the key dates to the Peace dollar series. Rarely are any found in gem condition. In fact, PCGS has graded 92 this high, with just 14 graded higher (all MS-66) making this one of the best to survive. This particular coin has flashy gold and green hues around the periphery, and is brighter on the reverse. We note two small reeding marks on the back of the neck, while Liberty's face is quite fresh and clean. Well struck for this date, and a gem for the advanced numismatist.
Estimated Value $3,500-4,000.
From the Benson collection.

Lot 1566 Click on photo for enlarged version Click on photo for enlarged version
1934-S. PCGS graded MS-63. Bright luster and without toning on either side. If you love glowing luster, then here's one for your collection. A few ticks from a higher grade, but the surfaces are still nicer than many for the grade assigned. The key date of the Peace dollar series.
Estimated Value $1,600-1,800.

Lot 1567 Click on photo for enlarged version Click on photo for enlarged version
1934-S. NGC graded MS-61. A frosty white specimen with no serious marks worthy of mention. Popular key date to the series.
Estimated Value $1,100-1,200.

1935. MS-62. Clean fields and yellow luster.
Estimated Value $40-50.
From the Benson collection.

Lot 1569
1935-S. PCGS graded MS-64. Another bright and flashy coin, as was the consignor's preference. Great luster with just a hint of natural haze. A decent strike for this date, and well preserved in an old small style PCGS holder.
Estimated Value $275-325.

Lot 1570
1935-S. MS-60. A bit baggy, but the toning is really nice.
Estimated Value $100-125.

A Peace Dollar Set from 1921 to 1935-S all PCGS MS-64.

Lot 1572
A PCGS Certified set of Peace silver dollars, 1921-1935-S. All are PCGS graded MS-64. We note that several of the coins are premium quality and most are in the old green insert PCGS holders. In particular, most of the coins are white and untoned, with just a few showing some light toning. Flashy luster on all, and many were chosen for their especially clean faces on Liberty, and clean fields. The 1934-S is especially bright and nice. We note a slightly weak strike on the 1921 at the center, but the surfaces are really nice. A great set to purchase and put away, or to work with and upgrade. Lot of 24 coins.
Estimated Value $7,500-UP.
