1925 Lexington-Concord Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-65. A splendid satiny mint gem exhibiting delicate hues of pale blue and gold. Worthy of a premium bid.

1938 New Rochelle Half Dollar. NGC graded MS-68. One of the Finest graded by NGC of this issue, and one of just 6 coins to be awarded this grade by NGC. Original tab toning of vibrant orange and gold on both sides, under which dances ample luster to dazzle the eye. A superb coin in every way, color, strike and eye appeal all in abundance combine to make this high end gem one of the finest known of the issue. Color photo.

1938 New Rochelle Half Dollar. NGC graded MS-66. The obverse has the familiar "tab" toning seen on many toned commemoratives. This is from the original cardboard holder in which these were shipped to collectors at the time of issue (see other lots in this sale). Deep gold at the periphery, save for where the tab crossed, the reverse brighter. Good luster and well preserved, with just a handful of ticks scattered in the fields.

1938 New Rochelle Half Dollar. MS-66 or better. Great color on this coin of deep gold at the periphery which enhances the design elements. Examination will find just a couple of tiny ticks on either side, and the surfaces are truly a delight to behold. If you love original coins, here's one for you.

1936 Norfolk Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-67. Great original toning on this one, with vibrant luster beneath. Boldly struck and well preserved. PCGS has graded 592 this high, with 86 graded higher.

1936 Norfolk Half Dollar (4 pieces). These coins each grade MS-65 or better. Remarkably, these coins still have their original cardboard holder, which is included with this lot, the holder grades Fine, and shows some wear on the corners, but the pale green cover and ink are still fresh and bright. Blazing luster on the coins, and each has the familiar tab toning that speaks volumes about a coins original condition. Few can boast that they haven't been cleaned, dipped or otherwise mishandled, as seen here, and we recommend them heartily. Lot of 4 coins.
