Folds, verso tape repairs to intersection separation; theater schedule in pencil on verso; owner and ID stamps verso. Brilliant colors, very good to near fine.

Karloff stars in British Intelligence (1940, Warner Brothers) One Sheet. Karloff, masquerading as a butler, is actually a German spy whose image looms over the other action in this striking poster. The movie, ostensibly about World War I, carried several obvious references to the then-current Nazi regime.
Folds with separation tape repaired verso, particularly along center vertical crease; minor nicks and chips to edges, with tiny areas of paper loss and verso tape repairs; owner and ID stamps verso; small area of crinkling at bottom right corner, with small tears. Bold original colors and very little obvious damage recto, but condition verso brings grade to good.

Limelight, Chaplin's final American film (Celebrated Productions, 1952) One Sheet. Noteworthy for scenes of Buster Keaton and Chaplin performing together, this melodrama features Chaplin as an aging clown who helps a young ballerina.
Folds, minor separation; one 4" tear from top edge; owner and ID stamps verso. Great color. Overall, very good to near fine condition.

The Long Voyage Home (1940, United Artists). 28 x 41". Framed. One vertical and three horizontal folds; light staining in margins; paper appears buckled.

The classic John Ford rendering of three Eugene O'Neill one-act plays set aboard the S.S. Glencairn, starring John Wayne.

Playing With Fire starring Gladys Walton (Universal, 1921) One Sheet. A great silent star in a beautiful portrait poster. Folds with minor edge separation and some tape repairs verso at intersections; minor nicks along margins with a handful of verso tape repairs; foxing verso along creases; very minor crumpling at top margin.
Please note that the noticeable flaws in this poster are on the margins or verso -- the colors remain true and, if it were properly matted and/or framed, this piece would appear near flawless. Very good condition overall.

Quo Vadis? and Ivanhoe. Lot of two great Robert Taylor movies, both of them spectacular adventure films.
Quo Vadis? (1951, MGM) One Sheet. Excellent color. Folds; scattered pinholes in corners; one 1" hole repaired from the verso with paper and tape; one ¾" chip out of top margin. Overall, very good condition.
Ivanhoe (1952, MGM) One Sheet. Good color. Folds with minor separation and verso tape repairs, scattered pinholes in corners; owner and ID stamps verso; minor crumpling at bottom edge. Good to very good condition.

Ronald Reagan's debut: Love Is On The Air (1937, Warner Brothers) One Sheet. Folds, separation at intersections has been repaired verso with tape; owner's stamp verso. Overall, near fine condition.

Presumably, audiences in 1937 were not expecting cute little Ronald Reagan to someday become President of the United States and very few examples of this poster have ever been offered at auction -- this is the first time we have seen it -- we are delighted to offer this wonderful example.

Silent Barriers (1937, Gaumont) One Sheet. Folds with edge separation; numerous tape repairs verso at fold lines and along edges; separation at top fold extends into a 2" rip; scattered toning verso; ID and owner stamps verso. The colors remain excellent; if this poster were mounted onto linen it would appear nearly flawless except for the margins. Good condition.
Really, with these two visions of masculine beauty exerting themselves on the movie's behalf, who are we to resist? .

Sinatra Sings: Guys and Dolls and Pal Joey. Lot of two one sheet posters from movies that featured Frank doing what he did best -- romancing the ladies while singing and dancing.
1.) Guys and Dolls (1955, MGM) Folds; pencil identification verso; 1/8" line of crumpling at bottom edge; original owner's stamp verso. Excellent color. Overall, fine condition.
2.) Pal Joey (1957, Columbia) Folds; very faint, scattered dampstaining to bottom half of poster; pinholes in corners; three tape repairs verso at fold intersections; original owner's stamp verso. Excellent color. Overall, good to very good condition.

Star Spangled Rhythm (1942, Paramount) Wow! One of the great morale-boosting all-star films of the World War II era, featuring all of Paramount's big names, from Bob Hope to Alan Ladd and Gil Lamb. The above-the-title players rate portraits and, it should be noted, this includes Rochester -- the character may be anathema today, but an African-American grouped with the other great stars of the studio was significant.
Folds with separation at intersections; pinholes at corners; scattered tape repairs verso; ID remarks and owner's stamp verso. Overall, very good condition.
