1866. PCGS graded Proof 64 Red. Premium Quality. A scarce issue, just 725 were struck, and most have been impaired over the years. Not so here, this lovely specimen retains the full red color imparted by the dies, and shows very few signs of handling. Note the well frosted devices on both sides. An impressive coin for the grade.
Estimated Value $650-750.
From the Michael Riordan collection.

Lot 1977
1870. PCGS graded MS-64 Red and Brown. Faded mint color on both sides with light brown toning too. Well struck and generally clean for the grade.
Estimated Value $300-350.
