Liberty Walking Half Dollars

Lot 2298 Click on photo for enlarged version Click on photo for enlarged version
1918-S. PCGS graded MS-63. Here is toned example of this scarce date. The toning ranges from a satiny silvery gray on well over 90 percent of the coin, and then near all the devices and in the nooks and crannies there is very dark gold toning which enhances the devices, and makes the coin look somewhat medallic. A beautiful example of this early mintmarked date.
Estimated Value $1,000-1,500.

1936. PCGS graded MS-66. This one boasts lovely light green and gold toning around the periphery with hints of rose at the centers on the obverse, lighter on the reverse with peripheral toning only, white for the balance. Excellent surfaces, and one for the date collector.
Estimated Value $400-450.

Lot 2300

1943-S. NGC graded MS-66. A rare coin this nice, with satiny luster on both sides and a touch of toning around the rims. NGC has graded 155 this high, with only 11 higher, all MS-67, above. Nearly perfect surfaces expected for the grade, and a sharp strike too.
Estimated Value $700-800.

1947. ICG graded MS-67. Irregular and vibrant deep gold toning on the obverse, with a matching arc of color on the reverse rim as well. Boldly struck, and nearly perfect surfaces, but the story here is the toning, which is truly exceptional. Bid accordingly if you want to capture this prize.
Estimated Value $300-UP.
