Kennedy Half Dollars

Lot 2340 Click on photo for enlarged version Click on photo for enlarged version
1964. NGC graded MS-66. Amazing colors on this one, the obverse has vibrant green and rose hues in the fields with darkish gold elsewhere, the reverse is a mottled gold color around the eagle, which is silvery bright. While the colors are very alluring, the grade is what makes this quite special, as few are seen with such pristine surfaces. In fact, NGC has only graded 42 this high, with 25 higher, all MS-67 above. A perfect coin for the specialist or for the type collector.
Estimated Value $100-UP.

19? Kennedy Half dollar, triple clip, partial collar mint error. ANACS graded MS-63. This is a rather spectacular error, the largest clip goes through the 9 of the date and extends nearly to the Y of LIBERTY, and almost to the base of the bust of Kennedy. Clean surfaces for the grade, and very unusual.
Estimated Value $150-200.
