1849. Open wreath. NGC graded MS-64. Rich golden luster and well struck on this tiny coin. The dies are fresh and clean and don't show the usual clash marks. Light hazy toning and minimal scrapes. Scarce enough in this grade and very hard to find better.

1851-C. NGC graded MS-62. Boldly struck on the devices, with full curls on Liberty and excellent details on the fine reverse wreath. Hazy luster in the fields, and generally untoned. Scarce this nice, with NGC reporting 24 graded as such, with 24 higher in various grades.

1851-O. NGC graded MS-62. A touch of coppery gold toning around the wreath, with average surface marks for the grade.

1853. PCGS graded MS-64. Resplendent gold luster and perfect in color and nearly so in surface quality. This one must have missed the gem grade by a hair! Flawless in strike as well.

1853. NGC graded MS-63. Satiny luster and choice, with a small die crack on the left rim of the obverse and traces of verdigris around the lettering and devices which adds to the appeal.

1853 (2 pieces). Both are NGC graded MS-61. Frosty and bright, one is softly struck on the reverse with the date weak. Lot of 2 coins.

1853-O. NGC graded MS-62. Sharply struck for the date, with sharp stars around Liberty, and the date is full and complete. Excellent luster and minimal handling marks.

1854. NGC graded MS-64. Excellent quality for this issue, with a bold strike on all the devices and rich golden luster throughout. As to the surfaces, they are fresh and clean, and show little evidence of handling. Fully struck on the date, despite the reverse die showing a healthy clash mark from Liberty's head inside the wreath.

1854. NGC graded MS-62. Both dies show minor clashing, lustrous surfaces and well preserved for the grade.
