centering, struck on usual undersize flan. Lightly toned and attractive for the

Diademed head of Antiochus VIII right. Reverse: Eagle standing left
on thunderbolt, palm at shoulder, Seleucid date at right (year 194); monogram
and dove in left field. Hendin 417; ACNAC 4: Houghton 822 var. On tight flan
with usual metal porosity. Well struck up and quite handsome for this series.

metal. Reverse nicely centered, with virtually complete inscription.

Portait choice, well centered and from a fairly fresh die, thus with fine

Sharply struck and nicely centered. With black-green patina, and tan earthen
highlights. Extremely Fine. Choice and rare, especially this nice. A
very comparable example appeared in a recent NY retail list at $550!
