Ancient Judea. "Ten Miscellaneous Prutot." Circa 100 BC - 33 AD. A variety of these small bronze coins, ranging through the Hasmonean, Herodian, and Procuratorial Eras, are featured on the lead page to Mrs. Sage's chapter on "The Coins that Jesus Knew." All are clear examples of the small change that it took ten of to buy a loaf of bread during the period of the Ministry. Coins Very Good and better.

Also, a Sestertius of Claudius: Laureate head right / Spes walking left; RIC 115; red-brown, brown, and green patina. Plus 2 Denarii of Augustus, 27 BC. - 14 AD.: Bare head right / Butting bull left (RIC 178a, "scarce!"); Laureate head right / Gaius and Lucius Caesar with spears and shields (RIC 207). The first with small banker's mark on cheek; the other with porous metal, and lamination flaw on obverse. Also, an AE As of Caligula, 37-41 AD.: Bare head left / Vesta seated left (RIC 30). Also: Philip I, 244-249 AD, AR Antoninianus: Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust / Virtus seated left, holding branch; RIC 53. Lastly, Aurelian, 270-275 AD, silvered Antoninianus: Radiate and cuirassed bust / Sol frontal, captive at left; RIC 134. All toned, the silvering on the Aurelian dark.
