1876. PCGS graded Proof 65. About as nice as this date is usually found, this gem boasts resplendent blue and violet toning on both sides, but much darker on the obverse while the reverse is toned blue about the periphery and rose gold towards the center. Sharply struck throughout, and very well preserved. A meager mintage of 1,260 were coined in Proof, for this short lived type coin.
Estimated Value $7,500-8,000.

1877. NGC graded Proof 64 Cameo. Highly desirable for the cameo frost on the devices, this one is further enhanced by delightful gold toning around the rim. Well preserved mirror fields, and truly a delight to behold. NGC has graded 7 as such, with a few higher in the cameo designation. An impressive example of this short-lived type coin.
Estimated Value $3,500-4,000.
