1881-CC GSA black box dollar with amazing colorful obverse toning! MS-64. Here is an unusual item, a lovely toned coin that boasts gorgeous hues of red, gold and deep blue at the edge, on the right side of the obverse. Mounted in the GSA black box as distributed under Richard Nixon's reign.

1881-O. PCGS graded MS-65. Intense obverse toning of orange gold on the left side, and glowing light blue in her hair, with a small area of fuchsia and deeper purple in the field. The reverse white and lustrous. A lovely toned gem of this date.

1881-O. PCGS graded MS-63. Toned with a rainbow of colors on the right obverse, and even moreso on the reverse with the rainbow tones covering the right quarter of the coin. A lot of color for the price, and on two sides as well.

1881-S Superb multicolored obverse toning. PCGS graded MS-65. This one really has an artist's palette of vibrant colors over most of the obverse. Hues range from fuchsia to green and blue, with sunny gold intermixed. Truly a feast for the eyes! There is also an arc of gold toning on the right side of the reverse, which is otherwise white. Take a look at the color picture on the web or in the catalog to get some idea of how brilliant and intense these colors are, then make sure to view the coin prior to the sale in order to fully bask in the resplendent tones that greatly enhance this gem Morgan dollar.

1881-S, Especially blue, magenta and gold obverse toning. PCGS graded MS-65. The upper obverse is toned with a deep aqua blue which changes slowly to a deep magenta which then lightens at the lower obverse to a brilliant sunshine gold tone. Gem surfaces as well, and truly a magnificent coin to behold! The reverse, is untoned. Certainly at the top of the color ladder, and worthy of the most advanced toned Morgan collection, where this coin will no doubt be a centerpiece.

1881-S, Vibrant obverse toning. ICG graded MS-67. This one is toned with magenta and greenish blue on Liberty's face and into the field on the left with extremely bright colors. White on the reverse. Clean surfaces and highly appealing.

1881-S, Deep aqua blue and fuchsia on the obverse. NGC graded MS-66. This one is toned with dark blue and green on the obverse, primarily through Liberty's face and cheek, with magenta areas as well. Reflective fields and very few signs of handling, this superb coin will certainly find many eager buyers whenever it is offered. A hint of peripheral gold on the reverse.

1881-S, wild rainbow toning here. NGC graded MS-66. Irregular rainbow toning on the obverse, with the face bathed in sea green and a band of magenta through Liberty's hair running vertically. The fields show colorful renderings of artistic merit, while the reverse remains white save for a touch of peripheral gold. Excellent surfaces on this gem, with abundant appeal because of the wild toning.

Brilliant yellow gold toning atop blazing luster with areas fading to blue in the fields on the obverse, the reverse toned as well with dusky rose hues and further bluish purples. Rarely are the colors this bright on these, so bid accordingly after viewing the coin in person (best), or looking at the color plates or our webpage photos.
