Lot 615 1881-S. PCGS graded
MS-64. Especially vibrant colors on the obverse, ranging through burgundy,
blue, green and gold, with a lighter area on Liberty's face, as though the sun
was shining there (more likely a coin rested there for many years and both were
near the top of the bag). Clean surfaces, and in an old green insert PCGS
holder. Estimated Value $300-400.
Lot 616 1881-S (2 pieces), both are
NGC graded MS-66. Untoned and frosty. Lot of 2 coins. Estimated Value

appealing. Estimated Value $125-150.
Lot 624 1882-CC. MS-63.
A trace of gold around the edges. Estimated Value $80-90.
Lot 625 1882-CC GSA dollar in black

Lot 626 1882-O, O over S.
PCGS graded MS-63. Golden toned around the rims, with medium gray at
the centers. One thin pin scratch can be seen down Liberty's face. The O/S
Mintmark is very plain. Estimated Value $600-650.
Lot 627 1882-S, with colorful
obverse and reverse toning! NGC graded MS-67. This one has old album
style toning with magnificent light peripheral blue toning with bright red-gold
at the rims and lighter gold towards the centers, and perfectly matched on the
reverse with similar colors and loads of eye appeal. Remarkably the surfaces
are pristine, with nary a flaw to be found save a scattered light ticks.
Certainly one of the more appealing examples although the intensity of the
colors isn't as strong as on a few of the others in this sale. Estimated
Value $900-1,300.
Lot 628 1882-S. PCGS graded
MS-65. Intense obverse toning of gold and purple, a marvelous combination!
Hints of lime are included. One of the more attractive toned dollars in this
sale. White on the reverse. Estimated Value $600-UP.
Lot 629 1883. NGC graded
MS-65. This example has gorgeous deep blue peripheral toning which fades to
a deep reddish gold then lighter gold at the centers. Similar and matching on
the reverse, although there is more bright white luster at the center. A lovely
toned gem for the numismatist. Estimated Value $800-1,000.
Lot 630 1883-CC and 1884-CC, both
grade MS-63. Lot of 2 coins. Estimated Value $140-160.

rainbow toning! NGC graded MS-65. Deep and colorful toning in well
organized waves on this one, with a particularly bright blue wave through
Liberty's face which is surrounded by orange gold and glowing red hues as well.
If you demand technicolor toning, then check out this gem! White on the
reverse, save for a light gold peripheral ring. Further, gem surfaces with
minimal bag ticks. Estimated Value $700-1,000.
Lot 633 1883-O. PCGS graded
MS-64. Deep burgundy and mauve with blue undertones on the obverse
offsetting the deep greens and aquas, the reverse mostly white save for the
periphery. Slightly flat at the centers. Estimated Value $400-UP.
Lot 634 1883-S. PCGS graded
MS-64 Premium Quality. Truly an impressive Morgan dollar that boasts rich
green, blue and gold toning on both sides over frosty luster. The strike is
sharp and the surfaces are very nice for the grade. We note this one has been
housed in a coin album for many years when it came to us recently for auction.
PCGS has graded 231 this high, but importantly only 15 higher! Don't expect a
better one unless you have an awful lot of money to spend. Estimated Value
$2,500-UP.
Lot 635 1884-CC. SEGS graded
MS-65. Bright and untoned, with a few scattered marks, but enough eye
appeal for a gem grade from SEGS. Estimated Value $125-150.
Lot 636 1884-CC GSA dollar.
MS-64. A lovely coin, that is totally white and untoned. Excellent
surfaces throughout! One for the investor. In the original black box of issue.
Estimated Value $120-140.
Lot 637 1884-O. NGC graded
MS-65. Rainbow toning on the obverse, with deep iridescent blue by the date
which changes to brilliant reddish gold, then lighter gold above and fading to
a rich sunset gold near the top of the obverse. The toning on this one is well
organized and highly appealing. Reverse is white, save for peripheral gold with
a dash of blue. Gem surfaces and a good strike too. Another gem for the color
specialist. Estimated Value $1,500-2,000.
Lot 638 1884-O (2 pieces), PCGS
graded MS-65 and another PCGS graded MS-66, both with obverse toning. The
higher grade coin has light satiny toning of blues and red, the lower grade
coin is doused in deep burgundy, green and blue iridescence in copious
quantities. Lot of 2 coins. Estimated Value $800-UP.
