Peace Dollars
Lot 753 1921. MS-60.
Sharp save for the very center of Liberty's hair, but quite lustrous. First
year of issue, and the only year obtainable with the boldly executed design
before the relief was flattened in 1922. Estimated Value $100-125.
Lot 754 1921. MS-60.
Frosty and bright, with a better than average strike at the centers. First
year of issue and hard to find real nice, this particular one should suit most
collectors who demand top value for their collecting budget. Estimated
Value $100-125.
Lot 755 1921 (3 pieces). Grades
from Good to VG. Lot of 3 coins. Estimated Value $70-90.
Lot 756 1922, 1922-S, 1923 and 1924
Peace dollars. These grade MS-63. Lot of 4 coins. Estimated
Value $50-75.
Lot 757 1924-S, 1926 and 1927-D.
These all grade AU. The first two are bright and lustrous, the last
has golden toning. Lot of 3 coins. Estimated Value $90-100.
Lot 758 1925-S. AU-50.
Lovely golden iridescent toning on both sides, and nearly mint state.
Estimated Value $50-60.
Lot 759 Peace dollar lot, 1926,
1927, 1934 and 1935, all MS-60 or better. MS-60. Lot of 4 coins.
Estimated Value $150-200.
Lot 760 1928. VF-35 cleaned.
This one was cleaned, and remains a bit too bright. Still a key date.
Estimated Value $120-140.
Lot 761 1928-S. MS-63.
Bright and lustrous, the surfaces are clean and well preserved.
Estimated Value $200-240.
Lot 762 1934-S. PCGS graded
MS-64. The key date to the series in top mint state grades, this one is
blazing white and completely without toning on either side. Nicely struck for
an "S" Mint too, with full curls on Liberty and strong feathers on the eagle.
Minimal signs of contact keep this one near the gem class. Housed in an old
green insert PCGS holder, and worthy of a gem set for a discounted price.
Estimated Value $2,200-2,600.
Lot 763 1934-S. PCGS graded
MS-63. Bright and lustrous, with just a touch of gold toning splashed on
either side. The surfaces are better than one would expect for the grade, and
Liberty's cheek is particularly nice. 1934-S has been the key date to the
series for many years, and finding a choice mint state specimen usually
requires some patience and a pretty healthy bank balance. Estimated Value
$1,600-1,800.
Lot 764 1934-S. EF-45.
Mint fresh surfaces and only lightly circulated for this key date.
Estimated Value $100-125.
Lot 765 1934-S. VF-30.
Natural toning and clean for the grade. Estimated Value $40-50.
Lot 766 1935-S. MS-63.
Satiny gold luster and fairly well struck for this final year of issue.
Estimated Value $200-220.
Lot 767 Peace dollar lot with dates
from 1921 to 1935-S, missing some keys. Mostly Uncirculated. This lot of 16
coins includes some tough dates, but is missing the 1924-S, 1926-S, 1927-D and
1934-S. Lot of 16 coins. Estimated Value $600-700.
Lot 768 A complete Peace dollar
set, 1921to 1935-S, grades VF to BU. Mounted in a brown Dansco album. Lot
of 24 coins. Estimated Value $400-500.
Lot 769 A Peace Silver dollar set,
1921-1935-S, with grades from Fine to Brilliant Uncirculated. A few have
been cleaned, but most are nice for the grade. Mounted in a brown Dansco coin
album. Lot of 24 coins. Estimated Value $400-UP.
Lot 770 A Peace Dollar lot, 1922,
1923, 1924 (2 pieces) and 1925, all grade MS-64 to 65. Some are nicely
toned in this lot with pinkish hues over bright luster. Hand picked from years
of purchases at a coin store, these were the nicest of many groups seen. Lot of
6 coins. Estimated Value $300-UP.
