Modern Proof Sets

Lot 37      1950. This set grades Choice Proof. Lot of 5 coins. A few hairlines but all are choice. Lot of 5 coins.

Lot 38      1951. This set grades Choice Proof. Lot of 5 coins. The half has some hairlines on the bell, but the coins are generally pleasing for the grade. Lot of 5 coins.

Lot 39      1951. Proof set in the original box of issue. Totally original and very choice.

Lot 40      1951. Proof set. Mounted in a Capital Plastics holder. The coins are nice with light gold toning at the edge, and the cent is pleasing too.

Lot 41      1951. Proof set. The silver coins have a touch of toning, while the cent is unspotted. These are not in the government packaging. Nice and original nevertheless.

Lot 46      1953. This set grades Choice Proof. Lot of 5 coins. Mounted in a Capital Plastics display holder. The half has hairlines on the devices, the balance of the coins are nice. Lot of 5 coins.

Lot 47      1953 Proof set and a 1942 Type I nickel, a 1942 Type II nickel and 1942 cent all in proof as well. The half dollar shows some toning, the cents are bright and unspotted. Lot of 8 coins.

Lot 55      1987. US Silver 1 oz. round. PCI graded MS-67 "100% Toned". Toned with deep blue and intense gold on the obverse, with the reverse a more even brilliant reddish gold tone. Excellent surfaces and truly a delight to behold.

Lot 56      1989-S. Silver Eagle. ICG graded Proof 68 Deep Cameo. Toned with deep blue on the obverse with a large central orange-gold area projecting through Liberty's mid section and spilling onto the flag and dress as well. The reverse a bold gold hue over frost and mirrors. Exceptional color throughout, and obviously extraordinary.

Lot 57      1992-S US silver 1 oz. round. NGC graded Proof 67. Stunning and brilliantly toned on both sides, with radiant sunset gold and red on the obverse and similar on the reverse but we note some blue near the rim there.
