Peace and Eisenhower Dollars

Lot 1048      1921. NGC graded MS-64 Premium Quality. Pretty deep reddish gold and blue on the obverse over luster, lighter gold on the reverse. A decent strike too, but not absolutely full.

Lot 1049      1921. MS-60. Good luster and fairly well struck for the date.

Lot 1050      1922. PCGS graded MS-64. Rich deep gold on both the obverse and reverse, with lighter gold or blue at the periphery of both the obverse and reverse. A common enough date, but very hard to find one pretty and colorful like this.

Lot 1051      1922-S. ICG graded MS-64. Medium gold over the entire obverse, with a colorful band around the periphery of delicate rainbow hues. The reverse lighter gold, and quite lustrous. Nice for the grade, and worth a premium for the color.

Lot 1052      1923-D. PCGS graded MS-66. Satiny white luster throughout and well preserved. Seldom are any Peace dollars found in this state of preservation, and we expect this one will command the attention it deserves. In an older green insert PCGS holder.

Lot 1053      1924. NGC graded MS-65. Toned with stunning blues and reds emerging out of the gray fields. Indigos, rust colored gold and aqua predominate. The obverse has light gold toning as well.

Lot 1054      1924. NGC graded MS-65. Frosty luster and toned on both sides with heavy peripheral blues and reds, with a small central area on both the obverse and reverse which remains white. Unusual toning for a Peace dollar, and lovely on this gem to be sure.

Lot 1055      1924. NGC graded MS-65. Toned with a light blue arc through the top of Liberty's head, with more gold color above. Frosty luster and a pleasing gem.

Lot 1056      1925. PCGS graded MS-66. Delicate multi-color toning graces the obverse.

Lot 1057      1926. PCGS graded MS-66. Light golden toning is just starting to form over blazing luster and very clean surfaces. In an older green insert PCGS holder.

Lot 1073      1972-D. PCGS graded MS-64 Mint Error. D/S-2nd Strk 10% O/C. This Ike "buck" was first double struck then struck 10% off-centered. A remarkable mint error.

Lot 1074      A group of error coins of various denominations. Lot of 8 coins. This group includes the following, 1863 Indian cent struck with misaligned dies, 1918 Lincoln cent with a large planchet clip through Lincoln's bust, 1966 Lincoln cent with a major attached lamination on the obverse, 1966 dime with no nickel plating on the obverse so the copper core is exposed, a clad half dollar blank planchet which the consignor notes is a Type II Bicentennial half, a blank silver dollar planchet (26.73 grams) for either a Morgan or Peace silver dollar, a blank clad Eisenhower dollar planchet and a 1972 Eisenhower dollar with two moderate rim clips. Grades from Good to XF.. Lot of 8 coins.
