Lot 16
Ancient Greece. Lot of Silver and Bronze Coins, mostly 2nd and 1st centuries BC. A varied assortment, mostly from Asia Minor -- including the Pontos, and Imperial Seluecid examples. Along with these
are some interesting Urturquid and related bronzes, and a large bronze of Cilician Armenia. The silver includes a pleasant-styled Persian siglos with banker's stamps, a drachm of Gotarzes II, a Cistaphoric Tetradrachm with cock symbol, and a choice
Antiocene-type tetradrachm (Laodiceia ad Mare) of Septimius Severus, curiously placed in a Pontos coin flip. Bronzes with various tones and patinas, all presentable, and some attractive, including a nice Tetras of Kamarina, c. 410 BC. Most coins
attributed. Lot of 43 coins. Coins average Fine to Very Fine, some less, some better. Ideal for young collectors or E-bay vendors. Estimated Value $400-UP.
