Lot 223        1795 Flowing Hair Half Dime. Sharpness of Mint State. Excellent detail with lovely blue and gold toning. Cleaned long ago (Photo).

Lot 224        1829 Capped Bust Half Dime. NGC graded MS-64. Darkly toned with reflective surfaces. Popular short lived series and an ideal example for a high grade type set (Photo).

Lot 225        1829 Capped Bust Half Dime. PCGS graded MS-62. Well struck with original toning. Shallow scratches appear beneath the toning in the reverse field below and to the left of the eagle's beak. Housed in an old, green-label PCGS holder (Photo).

Lot 227        1831 Capped Bust Half Dime. NGC graded MS-65. A well struck example, needle sharp throughout with gorgeous blue-green toning with a touch of violet at the borders. A very attractive little half dime. Pop 52 with 31 graded higher (Photo).

Lot 228        1835 Capped Bust Half Dime. Large date, large 5¢. NGC graded MS-64. A lovely frosty white mint example with a touch of light cream color tone starting to form about the devices. Pop 1 and finest graded for the variety. (Photo).

Lot 229        1835 Capped Bust Half Dime. Small date, small 5¢. PCGS graded MS-65. Deep, intense sea-green and lilac toning on the center of the obverse, ringed at the edges with a golden iridescence. The reverse features a two-tiered toning: deep lilac in the fields and blue on the high points. Visually appealing and an extraordinary condition for the Small Date, Small 5 variety. PCGS reports only five examples in this grade, with only four finer (Photo).

Lot 230        1841 Liberty Seated Half Dime. NGC graded MS-66. A nice bold strike with blue and grey toning with a touch of violet at the borders. Pop 1 with 2 higher, all MS-67 (Photo).

Lot 231        1860 Liberty Seated Half Dime. PCGS graded MS-65. Well struck. Mostly white with a hint of gold toning. In an old green holder (Photo).

Lot 232        1864 Liberty Seated Half Dime. PCGS graded Proof 65. Beautiful electric blue and gold toning on the obverse while the reverse is lighter in the center. Popular low mintage Civil War issue and only 460 proofs were made. Pop 18 with 6 higher, best being PR-67 (Photo).

Lot 233        1868 Liberty Seated Half Dime. PCGS graded Proof 63. Deep, silvery-blue toning. Housed in a first-generation PCGS holder (Photo).

Lot 234        1870 Liberty Seated Half Dime. NGC graded Proof 65. Nice even grayish-violet toning with some lighter sunset overtones. Among the better survivors from a mintage of only 1000 struck (Photo).

Lot 239        1872-S Liberty Seated Half Dime. Mint mark above bow. NGC graded MS-64. PQ. Mottled, lilac toning on both sides, with the ridges of a fingerprint incorporated into the toning on the obverse. Strong central details; weak at the denticles. A lovely, premium-quality example (Photo).

Lot 240        1873 Liberty Seated Half Dime. NGC graded Proof 63. Lovely rainbow toning on both sides. Last year of issue, only 600 proofs made (Photo).
