Quarter Dollars (Barber)

Lot 343        1892 Barber Quarter Dollar. NGC graded MS-68. A wonderful way to introduce this new design in the Quarter Dollar series, this being the first year of Charles Barber's version of Liberty. Exceptional rainbow toning on both sides, full of bright blues, yellows and reds. Fiery iridescence, superb surfaces, and eye-popping visual appeal -- everything one expects on a coin of such remarkable quality. NGC reports 8 coins at this level, with none higher (Photo).
Estimate $8,000-10,000.

Lot 344        1892 Barber Quarter Dollar. NGC graded MS-66. An excellent full strike and nicely toned on both sides. Plenty of colors on this one (Photo).

Lot 349        1898-S Barber Quarter Dollar. PCGS graded MS-62 PQ. Fascinating, semi-Prooflike luster. Scattered traces of golden color. Housed in a second-generation PCGS holder with a green insert (Photo).
Estimate $500-600.

Lot 350        1901 Barber Quarter Dollar. ANACS graded AU-50. Another dramatic Barber Quarter error, this one struck off-center towards 6:00. Attractively toned in flecks of red and blue, but it's not the color that catches the eye. A coin that even non-numismatists can appreciate (Photo).
Estimate $1,000-1,250.

Lot 351        1904 Barber Quarter Dollar. PCGS graded MS-66. Lovely original rainbow peripheral toning highlights the frosty white centers. A great looking coin. Pop 4 with none higher. (Photo).
