Lot 1121        1803 $5 Capped Bust. 3 over 2. ANACS graded AU-55. Well struck and lustrious with full hair detail (Photo).
Estimate $5,000-6,000.

Lot 1122        1806 $5 Capped Bust. Round 6. PCGS graded MS-64. A marvelous specimen, mostly well struck with some faint adjustment marks from Liberty's head to stars 3 thru 6. The lovely orange and golden toning adds to its appeal. Pop 33 with 1 higher in MS-65 (Photo).
Estimate $20,000-22,000.

Lot 1123        1812 $5 Capped Draped Bust. PCGS graded AU-50. In an old green tag holder. A nice example for the grade (Photo).
Estimate $3,000-3,500.

Lot 1124        1813 $5 Capped Head. Sharpness of About Uncirculated. Well struck and nicely toned. We note some scratches on the obverse and a minor rim repair around 6 o'clock. Popular large diameter Capped Head to Left design (Photo).
Estimate $2,000-2,500.

Lot 1125        1834 $5 Classic Head. Plain 4. NGC graded MS-65. Wonderful, orange-gold surfaces, with a rich, creamy mint frost and an overall satiny appearance. Sharply struck on all areas except for the highest hair curls, which were never "built" with much detail anyway. Perfectly original, never cleaned or improved...just a stunning example of the date and type. Tied with six other coins as the Finest Graded by NGC.

The NGC Census Report shows clearly just how important his piece is. No other date or variety in the Classic Head series has been graded MS-65 by NGC, not a single 1835, 1836, 1837, 1838, or any of the branch mint coins. Nor have any been graded finer than the example offered here. Thus, the collector seeking a Gem example of this type has one option -- buy this coin! (Photo).
Estimate $30,000-40,000.

Lot 1126        1835 $5 Classic Head. PCGS graded AU-58. An attractive Classic Head example with plenty of frosty mint luster still intact. Light yellow gold in color and in an old green PCGS holder (Photo).
Estimate $1,200-1,500.

Lot 1127        1836 $5 Classic Head. PCGS graded AU-53. Well struck and plenty of luster remains (Photo)
