1096    California, San Francisco, 1929 T1, $10 and $20 City NB. Of all the banks in San Francisco during the small-size note issing period, this bank was the smallest. Just twenty-four notes reported. Lot of 2 notes. Very Good to Fine.

1097    California, San Francisco, 1929 T1, $100 Bank of America NT&SA. This lovely note is new to the California Census. Great colors and nice margins make it very attractive. Lightly pressed, the note appears to be Uncirculated at first glance. About Uncirculated.

1113    New Jersey, North Arlington, 1929 T2, $5, North Arlington National Bank. This interesting bank issued only the $5.00 denomination in both large and small size notes. It is one of only a few known that issued more type 2's then type 1's. Fine.

1114    New Jersey, Palisades Park, 1929 T2, $5, Palisades Park. We like this name just by the cashier's signature. Why? Because he was a Goldberg! Evenly circulated with strong colors. A slightly better bank from Bergen County. Very Good.

Rare Serial Number 1 on 14000+ Charter

1115    Pennsylvania, Beaver Falls, 1929 T2, $10, First NB at. A very rare example of a number 1 issued by a 14,000+ chartered bank. All 14,000+ charted banks only issued Type Two notes, thus this is the only serial number 1 issued for the $10 denomination. Chartered in April of 1934, to take over the business of the First National Bank of Beaver Falls which went into liquidation in May of 1934. Total amount issued from this bank was $116,850 with only $84,400 outstanding about a year later. Kelly shows 9 notes reported. Choice Very Fine.
