1475    1851-O. PCGS graded AU-58 PQ. A trifle softly struck, as are most examples of this only New Orleans minted denomination, with no signs of actual wear. Nice and frosty and lightly toned, thus our mantle of Premium Quality . A very scarce date and underrated in high grade. In a 1st generation holder.

1492    1872. NGC graded Proof 66 Ultra Cameo. A Gem, white example with intense cameo contrast on either side (even the legends have cameo frosting). Phenomenal condition and eye appeal. NGC has graded only 2 examples at this grade level and none finer!

1493    1873. NGC graded Proof 64 PQ. A splendid example that definitely is of gem quality, thus our Premium Quality designation. The strike is full and the mirror surfaces exhibit excellent contrast. The toning is quite lovely, particularly the reverse which exhibits lilac surrounded by electric blue. Popular key-date as only 600 coins struck for the entire year. Color photo.
