236   Rivera, Diego. (1886-1957) Mexican painter known for his murals and frescoes, many of which were executed in the U.S.

Typed Letter Signed. One page, legal Folio, Mexico, July 24, 1953. Addressed to a Mexican customs official. Interesting letter in which Rivera requests customs to expedite the exportation of the painting "PESADILLA DE GUERRA Y SUENO DE PAZ" (one of his better known works). Authorization has already been granted, but he first needs Customs to "O.K." He goes on to mention that the painting is so huge that it must be sent by ship out of the Port of Veracruz. Also his daughter will be in charge of this. Very Good. Boldly signed in green ink. Two hole punches along left edge, and slight crease down center.
Estimated Value $1,000-1,500.
