609   "Muff Gun," c.1875. Made by Forehand & Wadsworth of Worchester, Mass. This 3-inch-overall .22 caliber is representative of the tiny single-shot "muff" pistols made around 1875. A small button under the frame permits the barrel to pivot to the right or the left for loading. Comes in handmade wood box. Very Good.
