Lot 2774

Full Sheet of 1970s Giori
Press Test Notes. In the early 1970s the Bureau of Engraving and Printing
had sent some special plates to Germany for a test run on the new Giori
presses. We now know of 4 different types of these experimental notes with
different vignettes and colors of inks. Many sheets have been cut up and the
whole sheets are now quite scarce. We understand that a book is in the works on
these fascinating notes. Choice Uncirculated and professionally mounted
and framed. It should be an easy task to remove the sheet from the frame as it
seems to be mounted just in the corners.
Estimated Value $800-1,200.
