from Petra: Laureate head right / uniface, with star countermark. Cf. Ros. III,

inscription and date in Greek and Aramaic around. Hendin 865; Ros. 60. Bold,
sharp strike. With fine dark green patina, with earthen highlights.

Tetradrachm (17.9 g); Jugate diademed and draped busts right of Strato I
and Agathoklia / Athena Alkidemos advancing left, brandishing shield and spear;
Bopearachchi Série 6A; MIG 306a; SGC 7648. Also, Antialkidas, c.
115-95 BC., AR Drachm: Draped bust right, wearing kausia / Zeus enthroned
facing, elephant at side; MIG 277d. Last, an AR Drachm of the Khwarazmian
Kings, c. later 8th century AD.; Stylized crowned head of king right /
Horseman right; Rtvelazde 49ff. Strato with original "find" patina, with some
patches of roughness and horn silver. Antialkidas cleaned. Coins range Very
Good to Fine; Antialkidas Very Fine. The Strato very rare, and if carefully
cleaned, not too inferior to the example illustrated in Sear's, Greek Coins,
no. 7648.
