Lot 328 Click on photo for enlarged version Click on photo for enlarged version
1890. PCGS graded Proof 65 Red. One of 16 so graded by PCGS, with 2 graded higher! That makes this one of the very best to come down to us from this important series. Blazing reflective red color on the obverse and reverse, with two tiny marks visible with a glass, one on Liberty's cheek, another between EN of CENT. Spot and problem free.
Estimated Value $1,500-1,700.

Lot 329
1891. NGC graded Proof 65 Red and Brown. Purplish red in color and we note a few old fly specks on the headband, and a couple more on the reverse.
Estimated Value $350-400.

Lot 330
1891. MS-63 Red and Brown. Two pieces in lot.
Estimated Value $80-100.

Lot 331
1892. Proof 60+ Red and Brown. This one has some spots on the obverse which are toned deep blue, and traces of a fingerprint on the reverse with ANACS photo cert grading proof 60/63.
Estimated Value $80-90.

Lot 332
1892. NGC graded MS-65 Red. Good luster and bright red in color, with no problems or spots evident aside from a few microscopic ones on the obverse. Always popular in this grade.
Estimated Value $400-500.

Lot 333 Click on photo for enlarged version Click on photo for enlarged version
1893. PCGS graded MS-66 Red. One of the finest graded by PCGS of this date, in fact one of just 17 to have been awarded this grade, with none graded higher! Blazing red color and well struck by the dies, with only the faintest traces of handling or specks. Seldom offered this nice.
Estimated Value $500-UP.

Lot 334
1893. NGC graded MS-65 Red. Blazing red color and well struck by the dies. There are faint traces of a fingerprint on the obverse, but this is still a very appealing coin for its color and luster.
Estimated Value $500-600.

Lot 335
1893. NGC graded MS-65 Red. One of a small group which came to us for this sale. Identical color and surfaces to the others, this one has a faint speck on the E of CENT, and yellow/red luster throughout. Well struck, and well preserved since that time.
Estimated Value $500-600.

Lot 336
1893. NGC graded MS-65 Red. This one has blazing red color on both sides, and only traces of carbon, mostly on the right side of the reverse. A beauty that's worth a good bid.
Estimated Value $500-600.

Lot 337
1893. NGC graded MS-65 Red. This one has bright red color throughout and we note that the 8 is faintly recut widely left at the base. Some residue on the reverse dentils near the arrow feathers. If you want a red one, snag this lot.
Estimated Value $500-600.

Lot 338 Click on photo for enlarged version Click on photo for enlarged version
1893. NGC graded MS-65 Red. Glowing red in color with clean surfaces. A couple of minor ticks on Liberty's face. Simply superb.
Estimated Value $500-600.

Lot 339
1894. MS-63 Red and Brown.
Estimated Value $50-75.

Lot 340
1896. Proof 64 Red and Brown. A lovely firery iridescent proof specimen housed in an old green insert PCGS holder.
Estimated Value $200-250.

Lot 341
1896. PCGS graded MS-65 Red. Bright red throughout, save for the high points of the obverse which show a dazzling array of rainbow hues. The reverse is bright red, with some fading highlights on the wreath. In an old PCGS green insert holder.
Estimated Value $450-500.

Lot 342
1899. NGC graded MS-65 Red. Liberty's face shows minor handling marks, but none are deep or large enough to knock this one out of the gem grade. Bright mint color and well struck.
Estimated Value $200-225.

Lot 343
1901. PCGS graded MS-65 Red. Premium Quality. A blazing red gem that has no signs of spotting or other trouble. Minor ticks, but not enough to remove this from the gem category.
Estimated Value $200-250.

Lot 344
1901 and 1902. MS-63 Or Better. Red and Brown. Both exhibit plenty of firey mint red color.
Estimated Value $50-80.

Lot 345
1903 & 1907. MS-63 Red and Brown. Two coins with plenty of full mint color.
Estimated Value $50-75.

Lot 346
1905. PCGS graded Proof 65 Brown. This one boasts vivid blues and iridescent shades of lavender on the obverse, with more reddish hues on the reverse. If you love toned ones, take a peek at this one. Bold and beautiful.
Estimated Value $200-300.

Lot 347
1906. MS-60+. This coin appears to have proof surfaces, but the edges and lettering are not that crisp. We guess this is an uncirculated coin that was struck by proof dies, or perhaps a poorly made proof. We'll let the buyers decide.
Estimated Value $60-70.

Lot 348 Click on photo for enlarged version Click on photo for enlarged version
1908-S. NGC graded MS-66 Red and Brown. One of the finest graded by NGC, this Red and Brown category boasts just 7 coins seen this high and another 22 in full Red MS-66, according to that service. The obverse is toned with medium brown at the centers, which seems to lighten to more red color around the periphery. The reverse has a band of lavender on the left side at a diagonal, while the right side is more brown with red undertones. A scarce date that would be even more popular were it not for the 1909-S Indian. Near perfect surfaces throughout.
Estimated Value $1,200-1,400.

Lot 349 Click on photo for enlarged version Click on photo for enlarged version
1908-S. PCGS graded MS-64 Red. Bright and fresh, with good luster and a nice strike. One tiny area of handling debris is noted in the dentils above the F of OF, which may eventually cause a spot, and hence should be removed. Scarce and always in demand as one of the tough Indian cent dates to find in high mint state grades. In an old style green insert PCGS holder, so this one was put away some years ago.
Estimated Value $550-600.

Lot 350 Click on photo for enlarged version Click on photo for enlarged version
1908-S. PCGS graded MS-64 Red. Bright red in color and free of spots or other problems. The surfaces are quite clean for the grade, and this coin appears to be a gem. A good strike and scarce as the first "S" Mint issue of Indian Cents.
Estimated Value $500-750.

Lot 351 Click on photo for enlarged version Click on photo for enlarged version
1908-S. NGC graded MS-63 Red. Nice color and surfaces, but we note a couple of faint spot-like areas starting to form. One on the fourth feathertip up from the bottom and some other ones on the reverse. Always in demand.
Estimated Value $300-400.

Lot 352
1908-S. MS-60 Red and Brown. Great color and clean surfaces for the grade, there are two tiny raised spots on the obverse which may be removable, both in the lettering. Scarce and popular.
Estimated Value $125-175.
