1937-D Boone Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-66. Another gem example. This beauty exhibits delicate russet and golden toning.
Estimated Value $500-750.

Lot 1216
1937-S Boone Half Dollar. NGC graded MS-66. Iridescent toning and mostly white, with gold flecks on both sides and hints of cloudy colors drifting over luster. Well struck, and very well preserved.
Estimated Value $500-750.

Lot 1217

1937-S Boone Half Dollar. NGC graded MS-66. A very lustrous satiny mint gem with some toning around the outermost borders. Start your year set with this beauty.
Estimated Value $500-750.

Lot 1219
A pair of Commemorative half dollars. Wow, here is a rare pair, a 1936 Bridgeport NCI graded MS65/65 and a 1922 Grant NCI graded MS65/65. We rarely see these NCI holders anymore, both coins show faint toning and should be inspected to determine today's current grade. I expect ole' P.T. Barnum would rather enjoy life today as much as he did during his years.
Estimated Value $300-400.

1925-S California Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-66 Premium Quality. An especially bright and flashy example, and hence deserves a premium. As to the grade, well, MS-66 certainly says a lot, but this one seems to push that number. Take a moment to examine the pristine surfaces and not the absence of bagmarks or other detriments. Then notice how sharply the devices are struck and the exceptional quality overall. PCGS has graded 180 his high with just 61 graded higher.
Estimated Value $1,250-UP.

1925-S California Half Dollar. NGC graded MS-65. Exceptionally bright and reflective, with lovely and colorful shades around the periphery of the obverse, and evenly divided down the middle on the reverse, with the left side colorful, the right side cloudy, but bright.
Estimated Value $500-550.

Lot 1222
1925-S California Half Dollar. NGC graded MS-64. Bright luster throughout, with hints of gold starting to form and just a few wispy hairlines that can scarcely be seen. Sharply impressed.
Estimated Value $150-200.

Lot 1223
1925-S California Half Dollar. MS-63. Deep blue and gold toning on both sides, with some spots.
Estimated Value $100-125.

Lot 1224
Carver-Washington Half Dollar group. This group contains all PCGS graded coins as follows: 1951-S MS-65; 1953-S MS-65 and 1954-S MS-64. All have some gold toning, with the most on the 1953-S. Lot of 3 coins.
Estimated Value $60-80.

Lot 1225
1952 Carver-Washington Half Dollar. NGC graded MS-66. This one has golden toning on both sides.
Estimated Value $150-200.

Lot 1226
1953 PDS Carver-Washington Half Dollar Set. Each coin is NGC graded MS-65. It is likely that these coins were from the same original set as they have matching luster and light gold toning. These are some of the lower mintage commemorative half dollars, and not all that easy to find in gem grades. Lot of 3 coins.
Estimated Value $350-400.

1936-D Cincinnati Music Center Half Dollar. ICG graded MS-67. A satiny, frosty gem that shows an arc of golden toning around the periphery and minimal handling marks or hairlines. Hazy white toning on the balance of the surfaces. Sharp, and seldom found graded this high.
Estimated Value $1,000-UP.

Lot 1228
1936-D Cincinnati Music Center Half Dollar. MS-60+. Frosty luster and well struck. A few faint ticks from perfection, but really nice for the grade.
Estimated Value $130-160.

Lot 1229 Click on photo for enlarged version Click on photo for enlarged version
1936 Cleveland Half Dollar. NGC graded MS-66. Beautiful iridescent toning graces the borders on both sides, further adding to its appeal.
Estimated Value $600-700.

Lot 1230
1936 PDS Columbia, S.C. Half Dollar Set. This set is PCGS graded as follows: P Mint MS-65; D Mint MS-65 and S Mint MS-64. This appears to be an original set, the Philadelphia coin has tab toning with a gold streak across the obverse from the paper holder, with tawny gold on the reverse, the Denver coin has tab toning also and blazing luster beneath, while the San Francisco coin has darker gold toning on the obverse, but is bright on the reverse. Lot of 3 coins.
Estimated Value $350-450.

Lot 1231
1935 Connecticut Half Dollar. MS-63. Bright and fresh, with abundant luster throughout.

Estimated Value $190-210.

Lot 1236 Click on photo for enlarged version Click on photo for enlarged version
1922 Grant Half Dollar, with star. PCGS graded MS-64. Bright white and without toning, we note some trivial hairlines and scattered contact marks which account for the grade, but obviously this is a very nice example of this scarce date and variety. One of the most difficult commemoratives to locate in high grade.
Estimated Value $1,500-1,700.

Lot 1237 Click on photo for enlarged version Click on photo for enlarged version
1922 Grant Half Dollar, with star. NGC graded MS-64. Lightly toned around the periphery, with a drop of blue on S of STATES. One minor lamination in the left obverse field. Rare in high grades, the with star pieces are hard to locate this nice.
Estimated Value $1,400-1,500.

Lot 1238 Click on photo for enlarged version Click on photo for enlarged version
1922 Grant Half Dollar, with star. MS-60+. Nice luster in the fields and toned a rose gold color, with splashes of toning on Grant's hair. Examination will note minor hairlines, but they are not very detracting. One of the more difficult commemorative issues, and the with star pieces have always been coveted by collectors.
Estimated Value $900-1,000.

Lot 1239
1922 Grant Half Dollar, no star. MS-64. This coin has exceptionally beautiful toning that ranges from deep gold to blue at the rims. Well struck by the dies, and we see few distractions from handling, keeping the surfaces near the gem class.
Estimated Value $150-175.
