A showy example. Choice Very Fine.

Pamphylia. Aspendos, c. 370-333 BC. AR Tetradrachm (10.9 g). Two wrestlers grappling, FI below. Reverse: Slinger to right about to cast, triskeles in right field, ethnic at left. SNG von Aulock --; SNG Cop --; cf. SNG France 96 (but with additional inscription beneath wrestlers). The wrestlers a little off center, but well struck up, so too the attractive slinger. Lightly toned with much luster. A very good specimen for this series in which the quality of striking is very variable. Extremely Fine.

Reverse: Slinger to right about to cast, triskeles in right field, ethnic at left; below; two counterstamps with bull's and boar's head devices. SNG von Aulock 4557; SNG France 104 (same obverse die). The wrestlers attractive and well struck up, minor typical striking flatness on slinger. Lightly toned, the obverse very lustrous. Extremely Fine.

The wrestlers attractive and but for minor flatness at legs are well struck up; the slinger fully so! Lightly toned, the obverse still lustrous. A very much above average example. Choice Very Fine.

Cilicia. Nagidos, c. 380-360 BC. AR Stater (10.6 g). Aphrodite seated left, holding phiale over lit altar, Eros behind holding up wreath. Reverse: Dionysius stands left, holding thyrsus and grape cluster; Z at lower left. BMC Cilicia p. 111, 12; SNG BibNat 21. The obverse a delightful genre scene, with usual minor striking flatness on Aphrodite's leg, along with evidence of die rust. Otherwise, well struck up and decently centered. Lustrous and lightly toned. Nice Extremely Fine, about as struck.

Decently centered and well struck example, with good eye appeal. Nearly Extremely Fine.

Baaltars enthroned left, head facing, holding scepter in one hand, and grape cluster, grain ear, and eagle in other; "Baaltars" in Aramaic at right. Reverse: Lion bringing down bull to left, king's name above in Aramaic. SNG Levante 105 var.; SNG France 331. Obverse a bit off center and a trifle softly struck from moderately worn die, otherwise, sharp and lustrous, with russet to pale gray toning. Nearly Mint State, as struck.

Reverse: Lion bringing down bull left; name above, monogram below. BMC p. 171, 52; SNG Levante 106. A little weakness at eagle, otherwise well struck up and centered, on round flan. Soft gray "find" patina, with considerable luster underneath. Choice Extremely Fine.

Good, clear portait on better than average metal, although still lightly porous. Slight toning. Very Fine plus. An appealing example, always in demand.
